Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, La. for Karen Castille,55, the former Karen Ann Carriere. Mrs. Castille, a native and long-time resident of Church Point, died at 5:00 P.M. Monday, February 3 at Opelousas General Hospital in Opelousas, La. Reverend Steve McKay will conduct the services with interment following in the Monsignor Bienvenu Cemetery on Highway 35 north of Church Point.

Survivors include her mother, Janell Lavergne Carriere of Church Point; her husband, Raphael "Noo" Castille of Church Point; a son, Chris Castille of Church Point and two sisters, Peggy Carriere Venable and husband James of Church Point and Dawna Carriere Barnes and husband Scott of Lake Charles, La.
She was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Castille.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 5 and continue from 8:00 A.M. until the time of the services.

Mrs. Castille was a graduate of McNeese State University where she earned a Bachelors Degree in Education.
