Church Point, LA:       A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, August 3, 2020 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Mrs. Juanita L. Thibodeaux, 79, who passed away at 11:25 AM Thursday, July 30 at at her residence. Rev. Fr. "Pere" Rozas, Parochial Vicar of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, will be the Celebrant of the Mass and burial will take place in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery on Hwy 35 north of Church Point.
Juanita, a life-long resident of Church Point, was the daughter of the late Eli Leger and the former Eunice Matte. A loving wife, mother and grandmother; her world revolved around her grandchildren. She is survived by one daughter, Connie Thibodeaux of Church Point; one son, Shannon Thibodeau x and wife Tammy of Church Point; six grandchildren: Joshua Thibodeaux, Courtney Jackson and husband Joe, Brittney Thibodeaux, Maghan Davis and husband George, Drake Bellard and Colby Bellard and five great-grandchildren: Rose, Violet, Kasie, Kylie and John Lee. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John 'Yed' Thibodeaux; two sons, Dale and Keith Thibodeaux and two brothers, Aaron and Ricky Leger.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home on Sunday, August 2 from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM and continue on Monday from 9:00 AM until the time of services.
