Church Point, LA:     Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 PM Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Joycelyne "Joyce" Richard, 91, the former Joycelyne LeJeune. Mrs. Richard, a native and resident of Acadia Parish near Church Point, died Wednesday afternoon, June 5 at Ochsner Acadia General Hospital in Crowley, LA. Fr. Brian Harrington, Pastor of the Church, will conduct the Services with Interment immediately following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery on Hwy 35 north of Church Point.

Survivors include her daughters, Cheryl Broussard and husband Andre of Carencro, LA, Barbara Boone and husband Charles of Church Point and Brenda Huba and husband Al of Orlando, FL; a son, Terry Richard and wife Becky of Sunset, LA, 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Patty Matthews and husband Kenneth of Crowley and a brother, Robert LeJeune of Crowley. She was preceded in death by her parents, Abraham and Lena Daigle LeJeune; her 1st husband, Joseph Verlin Bellard; her 2nd husband, Leroy "Neg" Richard; a son, Nolan Bellard and two daughters, Linda Blanchard and Verlie Benoit.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until time of Services on Saturday. A Rosary will be recited at 11:00 AM by Deacon Byrne Winn. Pallbearers will be Robert Thibodeaux, Terry and Chad Richard, Andre Broussard and Jason and Paul Boone; honorary pallbearer will be Daniel Matte.

Mrs. Richard was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Truly loved, she will be missed by all who knew her.
