Church Point, LA:      Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, December 17, 2020 in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery adjacent to the church in Church Point, LA for Ms. Josephine Rose "Josie" Richard, 81, who passed away at 7:20 PM Thursday, December 10 at her residence. Deacon Byrne Winn will conduct the graveside funeral services.

Ms. Richard, a life-long resident of Church Point, was the daughter of the late Mr. Theogene Richard and the former Inez Guidry. She enjoyed gardening early on in her life as well as participating in her church's activities and events.

She is survived by her five sisters, Louise Richard of Church Point, Mary Richard of Church Point, Theresa Olivier of Lafayette, LA, Ursula Richard of Church Point and Genora Ragsdale of Allen, TX and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Marie Ella Savoie and two brothers, Herbert Richard and an infant brother who died at birth.
