Church Point, LA Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 18, 2016 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Joseph Bart Thibodeaux, 61. Mr. Thibodeaux, a native and long-time resident of Church Point, died Monday afternoon, November 14 at his residence near Church Point. Father Godwin Nzeh will conduct the services with entombment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum on Hwy 35 north of Church Point. Survivors include his mother, Ginevra LeBleu Elkins of Church Point, his wife, Susie Thibodeaux of Church Point; his son, Dr. Ben Thibodeaux and Wife Gena of Breaux Bridge, LA; his daughter, Raquel Richard and husband Kirt of Church Point; three brothers, Gene Thibodeaux and wife Karen of Church Point, Bret Thibodeaux of Augusta, GA and Glen "Tuddy" Thibodeaux of Carencro, LA.; two sisters, Toni Espana of Lafayette, LA and Elena David of San Antonio, TX and four grandchildren: Lane and Nick Richard and Ava and Elijah Thibodeaux. He was preceded in death by his father, Auburn Thibodeaux; his uncle, Darwin Thibodeaux and his aunt, Del Faul. The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 10:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 17 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Friday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held there at 7:00 P.M. Thursday by Father Godwin. An avid hunter and outdoorsman, Mr. Thibodeaux was the President of les Trois Fous Farm.
