Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, May 30, 2009 at Guidry Funeral Home, Church Point for Rodney Joseph Savoie, 81. Mr. Savoie, a native of Church Point and resident of Broussard, La.; died at 1:45 P.M. Thursday, May 21, 2009 at Lafayette General Hospital; Lafayette, La.
Survivors include a son, Joseph Maurice Savoy and wife Betty of Broussard, La.; a daughter, Mary Hebert and husband Ronnie of Erath, La.; his brothers: Paul Francis Savoie of Lafayette, Jessie Savoie and Anthony Savoie of Church Point, Levy Savoie of Eunice, La., J.B. Savoie of Atlanta, Ga., Whitney Savoie of Pasadena, Tex. and John Savoie of Sarasota, Fla.; two sisters, Genevieve Richard of Church Point and Georgie Doucet of Deer Park, Tex.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
