Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, September 2, 2013 at First Baptist Church in Church Point, La. for Mrs. Joseph Dewey Comeaux, 84, the former Rita Brasseaux. Mrs. Comeaux, a native and life-long resident of Church Point, died at 10:15 P.M. Friday, August 30 at her residence. Pastor Berl Adams will conduct the services with interment following in the First Baptist Cemetery on Highway 35 north of Church point.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph Dewey Comeaux of Church Point; two sons, Raleigh John Comeaux and wife Kathy of Houston, Tex. And Randy James Comeaux of Church Point; a daughter, Patty Faye Carrier and husband Ronald of Church Point; three sisters, Bertha Brasseaux and Velma Jeanise and husband Willie-all of Church Point-and Nelma Lejeune of Lafayette, La.; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Elena (Labbie) Brasseaux; a daughter, Linda Ann Taylor; two brothers and two sisters.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 1 and continue from 9:00 A.M. Monday until the time of the services.
