Church Point, LA:       A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 26, 2023, at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Joseph Randy Richard, 70. Mr. Richard, a long-time resident of Church Point, died Monday evening, October 23 at his residence. Father Michael Vidrine will conduct the services with interment following at a later date.

Survivors include his wife, Marsha Hollier Richard of Church Point; his children, Maci Richard, Ross Richard and Max Richard and wife Alexandra-all of Church Point; his sisters: Bernita Rosinski and husband Eugene of Duson, LA, Kitty Castille and husband Lurcy of Rayne, LA, Phyllis Fontenot and husband Phillip of Church Point and Gloria Merritt and husband Larry and  Mona Belsom and husband Bernard-all of Lafayette, LA; a granddaughter, Sunflower "Sunni" Richard of Church Point and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eli and Mary Comeaux Richard; his father and mother-in-law, Gene and Betty Fontenot Hollier; 3 brothers-in-law, Mickey, Mark and Merle Hollier and 2 nephews, Baby Keith and Kurt Rosinski.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 9:00 AM Thursday until the time of services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held there at 1:15 PM by Father Vidrine.

A machinist in oilfield services for a number of years; Mr. Richard was a loving husband, father and grandfather who believed, "every day holds the promise of a miracle". An avid fisherman, he loved spending time at the camp at Toledo Bend. Truly loved, he will be missed by all who knew him.
