Funeral Services will be held on Saturday June 16, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at Our Lady of the Sacerd Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, La. For Joseph Allen Matte who died at 6:35 A.M. on Friday June 15, 2007 at his residence in Church Point La. The deceased was born on November 9, 1925 in Church Point, La. Father Jefferson J. Survivors include his spouse, Gladys Thibodeaux Matte, of Church Point, La.; one son, Paul D. Matte, and spouse Helen of Church Point, La.; three sisters: Leota Thibodeaux, Genevieve Sonnier and Joyce Prejean-all of Church Point La.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The deceased was preceded in death by a son, Michael Matte; two sisters, Eldine Richard and Rosa Belle Matte; and his parents, Alex and Elia LeBleu Matte .
The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Friday June 15, 2007 and continue on Saturday June 16 from 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
A Navy Veteran of WW2, he will be buried with honors by the American Legion and Veterans of the Foreign Wars of the United States.
Rosary will be recited on Friday at 7:00 P.M. by Deacon Paul D. Matte .
