Church Point, La.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M.Tuesday March 13, 2007 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, La. for Mervin Lyons, 82, who died Monday March 12,2007 at 3:30 A.M. at Acadia- St. Landry Hospital in Church Point,La. He was born November 22,1924.
Interment will be in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum, Church Point, La. Fr. Albert Nunez will conduct the services.
Survivors include his wife Hazel Thibodeaux Lyons, one son, Roger Lyons of Church Point, La., two daughters; Priscilla Gary and her husband Dallas Jr. of Youngsville, La., Jessica Henry and husband Billy of Church Point, La., three brothers; Ferdie Lyons and Carol Lyons of Church Point,La., Gervais Lyons of Eunice, La. -7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Clifford and Ella Jagneaux Lyons.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed from Monday March 12,2007 at 5:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. and continue from 8:00 A.M. Tuesday March 13,2007 until time of services.
Rosary will be recited on Monday March 12,2007 at 7:00 P.M.
