Church Point, LA:     Memorial services will be held at 4:00 PM Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, LA for Mr. Joseph Gilbert Lejeune, 71, who passed away at 5:23 PM Thursday, April 14 at Opelousas General Medical Center in Opelousas, LA. Deacon Byrne Winn will conduct the services.

Joseph, a resident of Church Point, was the son of the late Joseph Early Lejeune, Sr. and the former Natile Matte. He is survived by three daughters, Tina Lavergne and husband Eric of Church Point, Edna Zobel of Joplin, MO and Angela Bourgeios of Church Point; two sons, Kenneth Boudreaux of Church Point and Scotty Boudreaux and wife Kathy of Sunset, LA; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and one sister, Rachel Higginbotham of Denham Springs, LA.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Elaine Cormier Lejeune; one daughter, Patricia Boudreaux; his step father, Frank Higginbotham; one sister, Caroline Lejeune; one brother, Joseph Early Lejeune, Jr. and his son-in-law, Charles Keith Bourgeois.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 19 from 2:00 PM until the service at 4:00 PM. A rosary will take place at 4:00 PM to begin the memorial service.
