Church Point, La. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at "Joe's Place", 400 N. Beaugh St, Church Point, LA 70525, for Joseph G. Yette, Jr., 71, who passed away at 4:03 AM on Sunday, September 13 surrounded by family and friends.

Joseph, a native of Champaign, IL and long-time resident of Church Point, was the son of the late Joseph Yette, Sr. and the former Edna McDonald.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Yette of Church Point, LA; one daughter, Shoni Yette of Urbana, IL; one son, Joseph A. Yette of Urbana; one stepson, Shelby Davis and wife Ashley of Nashville, AR; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Rusty Yette.

A U.S. Army veteran of the Viet Nam War, his family was presented a Flag of the United States of America in appreciation of his service.
