Church Point, LA Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Church Point, LA for Joseph Dewey "J.D" Comeaux, 92. Mr. Comeaux, a native and long-time resident of Church Point, died Tuesday afternoon, July 3 at his residence. Pastor Berl Adams will conduct the services with interment following in the First Baptist Cemetery on Hwy 35 north of Church Point.

Survivors include two sons, John Comeaux and wife Kathy of Houston, TX and Randy Comeaux of Church Point; a daughter, Patty Carrier and husband Ronald of Church Point; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Brasseaux Comeaux; his parents, David and Josephine Venable Comeaux and a daughter, Linda Taylor.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 3:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Friday, July 6 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Saturday until the time of the services. Pallbearers will be Paul, Kelly and Andrew Comeaux; Roger Brasseaux, Neal Jeanise and Kent Lejeune.

Mr. Comeaux, a U.S. Army Veteran, was a retiree of the LA Department of Transportation and Development. Truly loved by his extended family, he will be honored with a Flag Presentation Ceremony at the time of services.
