Funeral Services will be held at1:30 P.M. Saturday January 12, 2007 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church; Church Point, La. for Joseph Clinton Richard, 54, who died at 12:10 P.M. Thursday January 10, 2008 at Opelousas General Hospital; Opelousas, La. He was a native of Church Point, La. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with interment following in the Monsignor Bienvenu Catholic Cemetery; Highway 35, Church Point, La..

Survivors include three brothers: Robert Richard and wife Joyce of Scott, La. and Francis and Anthony Richard of Church Point, La.; a sister, Lucy Richard of Church Point, La. and nieces, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Ray and Dewilda Higginbotham Richard and a sister, Patricia Arabie.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Friday January 11, 2007 and continue on Saturday from 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
A recitation of the Rosary will be held on Friday at 8:00 P.M. by Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc.
Mr. Richard was employed as a stockman by the Church Point Wholesale Grocery Company for over 30 years.
