Church Point, LA:     A Funeral Mass will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, June 3, 2024 at St. Edward Catholic Church in Richard, LA for Jonathan Larry Bourgeois, 62. Mr. Bourgeois, a native and resident of Acadia Parish near Branch, LA, died Thursday afternoon, May 30 at his residence. Fr. Korey LaVergne will conduct the Mass with Interment following in the cemetery at a later date.

Survivors include his daughters, Gina Bourgeois Daire and husband Jason and Mea Bourgeois-all of Eunice, LA and Kadi Bourgeois and fiancé Javier Herrera of Rayne, LA; a son, Jody Bourgeois and wife Katie of Iota, LA; his grandchildren: Taylor, Jayla, Branson, Gabriel, Brylee, Karsyn, Jayse, Lauryn, Wesley, Adaleigh, Christian, Hayden and Ellie Kate; a sister, Gemma Osgood and husband John of Plano, TX and the mother of his children, Linda Bourgeois of Eunice. He was preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Janell Daigle Bourgeois; a sister, Julie Bourgeois; a brother, John Dale Bourgeois and a son, Toby Jenkins.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Sunday, June 2 and continue from 9:00 AM Monday until time of Services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM Sunday by Deacon Byrne Winn. Pallbearers will be Jody and Karsyn Bourgeois, Javier Herrera, Jason and Taylor Daire and Victor Benoit.

A mud engineer in the oilfield for a number of years; Mr. Bourgeois was a loving husband, father and grandfather who loved sports, especially those his family engaged in.
