Church Point, LA Funeral Services will be held at 3:30 P.M. Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for John Louis "Coach Q" Quebodeaux, 47. Mr. Quebodeaux, a native and long-time resident of Church Point, died Sunday morning, July 16 at his residence. Father David Rozas will conduct the services with interment following in the Monsignor Bienvenu Cemetery on Hwy 35 north of Church Point.
Survivors include his parents, Terry and Lois Thibodeaux Quebodeaux of Church Point; his wife, Jenny Hopkins Quebodeaux and a son and daughter, John-Trey James Quebodeaux and Jayden Elizabeth Quebodeaux-all of Church Point; a sister, Shonda Kibodeaux and husband Shannon of Lafayette, LA and his Godchild, Ashley Quebodeaux of Church Point. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Dulcie Quebodeaux. The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 11:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Monday, July 17 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Tuesday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held there at 7:00 P.M. on Monday. Pallbearers will be Ricky Cates, Louis Anderson, Shannon Daigle, Shannon Kibodeaux, Calvin Johnson and Billy Wimberley. Honorary pallbearers will be Tyler Cates and Brock Kibodeaux. Mr. Quebodeaux considered his family and his work with behaviorally-challenged children as "his whole life" and being a coach of the Crowley High Softball Lady Gents (they called him "Coach Q") as his "second world". Much loved, he will be remembered for his sense of humor and being a great dancer.
