Millie departed this life peacefully at 2:33 A.M. Friday, November 7 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. She died in the comfort and presence of God, her husband Johnny and their children.
Millie was the daughter of Lionel "Happy" Daigle and Irene Hanley Daigle of Church Point. She married the love of her life, John W. David, on October 3, 1954. This year they celebrated 54 years of marriage.
Millie was a life-long member of the OLSH Catholic Church community where for many years she served in the OLSH choir, served as a CCD teacher, Eucharistic Minister and participated in the Catholic Daughters.

One of her greatest joys in life was singing. Many of us will lovingly remember her as "Ms. Tit", the choir director who stood by the side of her mother, Irene, the organist, leading all in singing praise to our Father. For many years she ministered to the elderly and disabled in their homes and the local nursing home. She was a member of the Living in The Divine Will Community and was a recipient of the Bishop's Service Medal.

Millie's love for flowers and butterflies resulted in the creation of "Millie's Moments" hand-made cards and book marks which she shared with family and friends. Over the years many a rosary was made and prayed as she carefully linked each bead for family and friends. Each grandchild received one of Mamere's "prayed rosaries" when they made their First Communion. She shared her faith and love for Jesus through her words and actions.
Millie never met a stranger and her love radiated to all she met.

Survivors include her husband, John W. David; two daughters, Cherie Gosvener and Denice Stelly of Church Point; three sons, John David, Jr. and Lionel David of Dallas, Texas and Matthew David of Houston, Texas; 19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are her three sons, John David, Jr. (Honorary), Lionel David and Matthew David; her sons-in-law Steven Gosvener and Carl Stelly (Absentee Pallbearer); grandsons Van Vanicor, David Vanicor, Andrew David (Honorary), Stevie Gosvener, Joey Stelly and Matthew David, Jr.

"Good Night, Sweet Dreams, Sleep with the Angels, God Bless and we love you, our little one."
