Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, La. for John Eldridge "Yed" Thibodeaux, 78. Mr. Thibodeaux, a native and long-time resident of Church Point, died at 2:20 P.M. Tuesday, November 25 at his residence. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with entombment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum on Highway 35 north of Church Point.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita Leger Thibodeaux of Church Point; his sons, Shannon Thibodeaux and wife Tammy and Dale Thibodeaux-all of Church Point; a daughter, Connie Bellard and husband Geno of Church Point; a daughter-in-law, Becky Thibodeaux of Church Point; two brothers, Carl Thibodeaux and wife Linda and Jimmy Thibodeaux-all of Church Point; two sisters, Brenda Daigle and husband Lee of Church Point and Margie Doucet and husband Herbert of Jennings, La.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacques and Celestine Quibodeaux Thibodeaux and a son, Keith Thibodeaux.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 1:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Friday, November 28 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Saturday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Friday by Monsignor DeBlanc.

Mr. Thibodeaux was a faithful member of Knights of Columbus Council 2504 and usher at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church for some twenty years.
