Church Point, LA:         A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, May 25, 2020 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Mr. John "Terry" Quebodeaux, 74, who passed away on Friday morning, May 22 at his residence. Msgr. Jefferson J. DeBlanc, Pastor of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Lafayette, LA, will be the Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the committal services in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery on Hwy 35 north of Church Point.
Terry, a life-long resident of Church Point, was the son of the late John Quebodeaux, Jr. and the former Dulcie Hebert. A salesman of building supplies for a number of years, he loved doing yard work and tending to his garden. His Saturday afternoons were reserved for some good cold beer, spending time with his grandchildren and his French music on KBON. Terry was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother and he was looking forward to the birth of his first great-granddaughter, Madelyn Johnson. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lois Quebodeaux of Church Point; one daughter, Shonda Kibodeaux and husband Shannon of Lafayette; six grandchildren: Ashley Johnson and husband Calvin, Jon-Trey and Jayden Quebodeaux and Brock, Colby and Caleb Kibodeaux; one great-granddaughter on the way, Madelyn Johnson; one sister, Betty Daigle and husband Gene and his Godchildren, Angelique Gianfala, Shannon Daigle, Leon Hebert and Seth Godeaux. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Johnny "Coach Q" Quebodeaux and his Godchild, Claire Daigle. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home on Sunday, May 24 from 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM and continue on Monday from 8:00 AM until the time of services. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 6:00 PM on Sunday evening. Pallbearers will be Shannon Daigle, Seth Godeaux, Leon and Anthony Hebert, Edward Godeaux and Gene Daigle.
