Church Point, La.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 4, 2008 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church; Church Point, La. for Mrs. John J. Savoy, 90, the former Lidiana Marie Moreaux. Mrs. Savoy, a native and life-long resident of Church Point, died at 11:05 A.M. Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at American Legion Hospital; Crowley, La. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with entombment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum, Church Point.
Survivors include a daughter, Hazel Seaux and husband Louis "Leo" of Crowley, La.; two sisters, Lena Moreaux of Rayne, La. and Mrs. Edias Menard of Crowley, La.; five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Savoy; a son, Alton "Pee-Wee" Savoy; a granddaughter, Madison Paige Kidder; her parents, Calice and Cevelia Richard Moreaux; one brother and five sisters.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed from Noon until 10:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 3 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Thursday until the time of the services.
A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday by Monsignor DeBlanc.
Pallbearers will be: K. Jacob and Timothy Savoy, Michael and Nicholas Kidder, Cody LeJeune and Brandon Hoffpauir.
