Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point for John Darrell Lanclos, 55. Mr. Lanclos, a native of Lawtell, La. and currently a resident of rural Acadia Parish near Church Point, died Friday, August 5 at his residence. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with interment following in the Bellevue Memorial Cemetery on Highway 182 south of Opelousas, La.
Survivors include his parents, John Irving and Marie Emma (Richard) Lanclos of Lawtell, La.; a brother, Daniel James Lanclos of Benton, Tenn. and two sisters, Mona Gayle Lanclos Ewing and husband Mitch and Pamela Ann Lanclos Keith and husband Joseph-all of Lawtell.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Debbie Ann Lyons.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 A.M. Saturday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held by Monsignor DeBlanc.
Mr. Lanclos was a roughneck in the Gulf Coast oil industry for a number of years.
