Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, La. for John Bob Janise, 75. Bob, as he was known, was a native of Church Point and long-time resident of Baker, La. He died at 1:00 A.M. Thursday, January 22 at his residence. Reverend Glen Murphy of Grace Pentecostal Church of Central, La. will conduct the services with the assistance of Reverend Rick Hardwick of the Church Point Pentecostals. Interment will follow in the First Baptist Cemetery on Highway 35 north of Church Point.

Survivors include his wife, Janell Boudreaux Janise of Baker; a son, Darrin Janise and companion Brenda of Baker; a daughter, Tammy Janise and companion Larry of Denham Springs, La.; his grandchildren, Jonathan and Joshua Janise and Tony Jacobs; his great-grandchildren: Dominic, Damian, Jeanne and Charlie Janise and Kaylee Jacobs; an uncle, Dickie Labbie and wife Pat of Lafayette, La. and an aunt, Stella Labbie of Sulphur, La.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin Janise and Dorris Labbie Janise Pedigo.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Friday, January 23 and continue from 9:00 A.M. Saturday until the time of the services.

A commercial painter who was a member of IUPAT Local 728 in Baton Rouge, La.; Bob enjoyed a life time of hunting and fishing with his grandchildren and had several camps during his lifetime.
