John Larry Higginbotham's Obituary
Church Point, La.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at St. Edmund Catholic Church in Branch, La. for John Larry Higginbotham,72. Mr. Higginbotham, a native and long-time resident of rural Acadia Parish near Branch, died at 3:50 P.M. Sunday, March 10 at his residence. Father Paul Broussard will conduct the services with interment following in the St. Edmund Cemetery adjacent to the church.
Survivors include his wife Sabal (Seaux) Higginbotham of Branch; a son, Joey Higginbotham and wife Carrie of Branch and her grandchildren: Alexis, Mallorie, Bailey and Laynie Higginbotham and Patrick Vincent.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Cora (Richard) Higginbotham; four brothers and two sisters.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 5:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Monday, March 11 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Tuesday until the time of the services.
A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M on Monday by Deacon Jim Cormier.
A U.S. Army veteran of the Viet Nam Era, Mr. Higginbotham will be honored with a Flag Presentation Ceremony at the funeral home prior to services.
