Church Point, La.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Church Point for Mrs. John "Black" (Eta) Venable, 94, the former Marie Eta Castille. Mrs. Venable, a native and long-time resident of Church Point, died at 11:00 A.M. Sunday, November 28 at Acadia-St. Landry Guest Home, Church Point. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with interment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Church Point.
Survivors include a brother, Ernest Castille and wife Gertrude of Lake Charles, La. and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John "Black" Venable and her parents, Onezime and Laura (Guidry) Castille.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 2:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Monday, November 29 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Tuesday until the time of the services.
A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Monday by Monsignor DeBlanc.
