John Herbert Comeaux, 78
Church Point, La. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, March 30, 2015 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point for John Herbert Comeaux, 78, who passed away at 6:10 pm Thursday, March 26, 2015 at his residence. Msgr. Jefferson J. Deblanc, Pastor of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, will conduct the funeral services with burial in Church of Christ Cemetery in Branch, La.
John, a native of Indian Bayou, La. and a resident of Church Point, was the son of the late Farjust Comeaux and the former Odelia Matte.
He is survived by a daughter, Evelyn Comeaux and a son, Craig and wife Jennifer Primeaux Comeaux-all of Church Point; his grandchildren: Alana Miller, Bradley Lavergne, Matthew Briscoe, Kayla Comeaux and Tessa Gianfala-all of Church Point-and J.C. Comeaux of Nebraska; his great-grandchildren: Landon and Kenadee Lavergne, Tamara Brennan, Evan Cormier and Jaci Jagneaux-all of Church Point; a step-granddaughter, Delacia Primeaux of Texas; a son-in-law, Mark Briscoe; two brothers, Carl Comeaux of Church Point and Callen Comeaux of Rayne, La.; two sisters, Mercedes Comeaux Dies of Houston and Belinda Daigle and husband Archie of Church Point.
He was preceded in death by his loving life-long partner and wife, Betty Arabie Comeaux; his parents; two daughters, Pamela Comeaux Miller of Lewisburg, La. and Annette Comeaux Briscoe and three grandchildren, Kristie, Petra and Thomas Briscoe.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm Sunday, March 29, 2015 and continue from 8:00 am Monday until the time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Sunday evening in the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Gregory Comeaux, Jeremy and Josh Daigle, Donald "Red" Miller, Matthew Briscoe and Landon Lavergne. Honorary pallbearer will be Craig Comeaux.
Mr. Comeaux was a loving father, devoted husband and cherished grandfather who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
