Church Point, LA:       Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, LA for Mr. John Kevin "Bubba" Quibodeaux, 57, who passed away at 11:15 PM Wednesday, December 16 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette, LA. Deacon Byrne Winn will conduct the memorial services.
John, a resident of Church Point, was the son of the late Mr. Russell Quibodeaux and the former Elaine Richard. He was a professional poker player who won many tournaments in the Lafayette area and was invited to play in Las Vegas to compete in the World Series of Poker. "Bubba" enjoyed spending time with friends and family and was an avid college and professional football fan.
He is survived by two daughters, Ashley Quibodeaux and Alesha Quibodeaux, both of Church Point; his mother, Elaine R. Quibodeaux of Church Point; one sister, Norma Quibodeaux of Church Point; one brother, Jeffrey Quibodeaux of Church Point; the mother of his children, Connie Thibodeaux and husband Stephen of Church Point; a long-time friend, Liz Savoy of Church Point; his nieces and nephews, Jeanea Mouton, Jacque Quibodeaux, Donnie and Joey Olivier, Kylie and Jack Olivier and his beloved "fur-babies", Gizmo and Shirley, who passed away. He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Quibodeaux; his sister, Sandra Olivier and his brother-in-law, Walter "Deano" Olivier.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home on, Saturday, December 19 from 10:00 AM. until the time of memorial services.
