Private memorial and visitation will be held at a date and time to be determined by family for Joey Wade Larcade, 67. Mr. Larcade, a native and long-time resident of Church Point, died Saturday evening, January 17at Maison De Lafayette in Lafayette, La.

Survivors include a sister, Kyla Deshazo and husband Robert of Lafayette; two brothers, Cooper Louis Larcade and Ralph Dean "D.D." Larcade of Church Point and four nephews, Jeremy and Eric Larcade and Mike and Nick Hoss.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Rena Beaugh Larcade and a brother, Randall Charles Larcade.

The family would like to extend a special Thank You to Joey's cousin, Jennifer Cates, her family and Hospice Compassus for the unfailing compassion and care they gave Joey.

A passionate collector and builder of models of the world's combat aircraft with an abiding interest in performance automobiles, Joey had that gift of humor and descriptive language that could lift the spirits. He was truly loved by those who knew him.
