Church Point, LA:     A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, LA for Jerry Burleigh, 57. Mr. Burleigh, a native and long-time resident of Church Point, died Thursday morning, August 1 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, LA. Deacon Byrne Winn will conduct the service. Interment will be at a later date.

Survivors include his mother, Anne R. Burleigh of Church Point; two daughters, Misty Fontenot and husband Kory of Eunice, LA and Nichole Jack of Church Point; three sisters, Mary Jagneaux, Adelina Burleigh and Betty Lejeune-all of Church Point-and three grandchildren, Kayra, Randdelle and Payton Jack. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Burleigh, Sr. and three siblings, Lucy Guidry, Edward Burleigh, Jr. and Nellie Olivier. The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the services on Saturday. A recitation of the Rosary will be held there at 10:30 A.M. by Deacon Winn. Employed in the oil industry for a number of years, Mr. Burleigh was loved and will truly be missed by his extended family and friends.
