J.C. (John Charles) Savoie's Obituary
Church Point, La.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, June 27, 2011 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, La. for J.C. (John Charles) Savoie, 81. Mr. Savoie, a native of Church Point and long-time resident of Opelousas, La., died at 5:00 P.M. Thursday, June 23 at Evangeline Oaks Nursing Home in Carencro, La. Father Brad Guillory will conduct the services with interment following in the St. John Cemetery; Lewisburg, La.
Survivors include his wife, Pansy (Richard) Savoie of Opelousas; two sons, Troy Savoie and Dwayne Savoie and wife Jo Ann all of Opelousas; two sisters, Bernice Elder of Houston, Tex and Mary Ethel Castille of Lafayette, La.; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Ozite (Lavergne) Savoie and a daughter, Donna Marie Hegwood.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 26 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Monday until the time of the services.
A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Sunday by Seminarian Taj Glood.
