Church Point, LA Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, July 18, 2016 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, LA for Pierre "J.C." Cary, 88, who passed away at 6:50 PM Friday, July 15 at J Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home in Arnaudville, LA. Deacon Byrne Winn, Deacon of St. John Berchman Catholic Church, will conduct the funeral services with burial following in the Bellevue Memorial Park on Highway 182 south of Opelousas, LA.

J.C., a resident of Lewisburg, LA, was the son of the late Richard Cary and the former Edna Darbonne.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lela Cormier Cary of Lewisburg; one daughter, Janice McKnight and husband John of Opelousas; two brothers, J.U. Cary and wife Teesie and Murray Cary-all of Church Point; two sisters, Nelma Daigle of Plaquemine, LA and Vergie Courville and husband Eric of Church Point; one brother-in-law, Theo Cormier of Church Point; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Wilbert and Gervis Cary.
J.C. was a retired St. Landry Parish worker and farmer in the Lewisburg-Church Point area.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 8:30 AM Monday until the time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 10:00 AM in the Funeral Home.
