Church Point, LA: Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, June 17, 2024 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Jane W. Quibodeaux, 91, the former Mary Ida Jane Winn. Mrs. Quibodeaux, a native of Church Point, died Friday morning, June14 at Encore Health and Rehab Center, Crowley, LA. Fr. Aaron Melancon will conduct the Services with Interment immediately following in the Msgr. Bienvenu Cemetery on Hwy 35.
Survivors include two sons, Rodney Quibodeaux and wife Ashley of Church Point and Ricky Quibodeaux and wife Annette of Bosco; granddaughters Michelle Melancon and husband Scotty of Scott; Dawn Rosinski and husband Monte of Scott; Sierra Cormier and husband Josh of Cankton and Marcella Quibodeaux of Church Point; grandsons Damien Quibodeaux and wife Bonnie of Zachary; Dustin Quibodeaux and companion Ashley of Opelousas and Jules Quibodeaux and wife Emily of Bosco; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 sister Gernice Guidry of Church Point; 1 Godchild; 3 nephews; 1 niece. She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years Hilton Quibodeaux; great-grandson Rivers Quibodeaux; brother Kermit Winn; brother-in-law Austin Guidry; her parents Jules and Hermina Savoy Winn.
Visitation will be held at Guidry Funeral Home from 12:00 Noon until 8:00 PM on Sunday, June 16 and continue from 8:00 AM Monday until time of Services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM Sunday by Deacon Byrne Winn. Pallbearers will be Damien, Dustin and Jules Quibodeaux; Josh Cormier, Monté Rosinski and Scotty Melancon. Honorary pallbearers will be Ben, Cal and Eli Rosinski; Leo and Ryder Quibodeaux; Basin Cormier and Hunter Landry.
Jane was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. A hard worker; she loved playing cards, bingo, buying "As Seen On TV" novelties, listening to French/Cajun music and spending time with friends and family. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to her caregivers Ruby Meche, Velma Schexnaider; Ashley Quibodeaux; Lamm Nurses Heather Bellard, Abbie Thibodeaux and Marisa Sonnier for their excellent care and compassion. Arrangements are being handled by Guidry Funeral Home, Inc.
