Church Point, LA:     A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, July 29, 2024 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, LA for James Warren Richard, 66. Mr. Richard, a native of Richard, LA and resident of Church Point, died Friday morning, July 26 at Acadia-St. Landry Guest Home in Church Point. Byrne Winn, Deacon at OLSH Catholic Church, will conduct the Service with Interment immediately following in the St. Edward Cemetery in Richard.

Survivors include his wife, Taija Brooks Richard of Church Point; his brothers, Paul Richard and Greg Richard and wife Brenda-all of Church Point-and his extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Remi and Tisabel Doucet Richard; three brothers, Lerlin, John and Iry Richard and two sisters, Nelda Dunn and Mary Ann Balfa.

Visitation will be held at Guidry Funeral Home from 9:00 AM Monday until the time of the Service. A Rosary will be recited at 1:30 PM by Deacon Winn. Pallbearers will be Devon Bellard, Mitchell Savoy, Jacob Carrier, Jordan Fontenot, Trent Laborde and Brian Stelly.

A maintenance man engaged in lawn care for a number of years; Mr. Richard was a loving husband and brother. Truly loved, he will be missed by all who knew him. Arrangements are being handled by Guidry Funeral Home, Inc.; 219 N. Broadway, Church Point, LA (337) 684-5488.
