Arnaudville, LA:         James Matthew Guidroz, age 48, passed away on Wednesday, June 07, 2023. He was born on July 08, 1974, in Opelousas, LA to Donald and Rita (Saucier) Guidroz.

After high school, Matthew went off to work in the oilfield for many years, then moved on to production at a local TV station and eventually ran media at Miracle Place Church.

Matthew was skilled and had many talents. He loved drawing and had a talent for it. He had a passion for cooking and was considered an amazing chef by his family. Matthew loved music and was skilled at playing the guitar. And he had a need for speed, from dirt bikes to motorcycles, if it went fast, he was on it! In his younger days, you may have seen him zoom by on one wheel. Matthew was also known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit. He never met a stranger.

Matthew is survived by his parents Rita Saucier and Donald Guidroz, his loving sister Ashley Guidroz, his daughter Annalise Shields and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins who all loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his daughter Emily Guidroz, his maternal grandparents Vionel and Aurelia Saucier, and his paternal grandparents Clebert and Velma Taylor Guidroz.
