Church Point, La.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Monday, January 31, 2011 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Church Point for James Carroll Doucet, 62. Mr. Doucet, a native and life-long resident of Church Point, died at 5:15 A.M. Saturday, January 29 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home; Opelousas, La. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with entombment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum on Highway 35 north of Church Point.
Survivors include three brothers: Allen Doucet and wife Betty Jo of Alexandria, La., Ronald Doucet of Sunset, La. and Joseph Rodney Doucet of Church Point; two sisters, Freda Richard and husband Rodney of Church Point and Yolande Addatto and husband Anthony, Jr. of Opelousas as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elton and Lena (Comeaux) Doucet; a sister, Angelina Doucet and a brother, Wilton Doucet.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 1:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 30 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Monday until the time of the services.
A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Sunday by Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc.
