Church Point, LA: A Memorial Service will be held at a later date for James Allen Meche, Jr. 44. Mr. Meche, a native and resident of Church Point, LA, died Saturday afternoon, April 11 at his sister’s home.

Survivors include his parents, James Allen “Jim” Meche, Sr. and Bridgette Clavelle Meche of Church Point; his companion, Allison Benoit of Church Point; a son, Hayden Meche of Church Point; his sisters: Jamie Tauzin of Breaux Bridge, LA, Blair and Haile Meche of Church Point and Heidi Meche and companion Greg Tyler of Carencro, LA; a brother, Blake Meche and wife Tracy of Eyota, MN; his Godchildren, Noah and Grayson Meche and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Laine Meche.

An inspector in commercial welding for a number of years; Mr. Meche was a hard-working and loving son, father and sibling. Truly loved, he will be missed by his extended family and all who knew him.
