Church Point, La. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Friday, April 8, 2011 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Church Point for Mrs. Jake (Lena) Leger,98, the former Lena Revere. Mrs. Leger, a life-long resident of rural St. Landry Parish but currently living in Carencro, La., died at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 5 at her daughter's residence there. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with entombment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum in Church Point.

Survivors include two sons, J.E. "Buster" Leger and wife Barbara of Sunset, La. and Leon "Boy" Leger and wife Betty of Carencro, La.; four daughters: Emmadine Chauvin of Carencro, Anna Lee Miller of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Norma "Toot" Downs and husband John, Sr. of Sunset and Leona Sue Leger and Nolan Broussard, Sr. of Scott, La.; thirty-one grandchildren, forty-nine great-grandchildren and twenty-two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jake Leger; a daughter, Geraldine "Geri" Leger; a great-grandson, Clinton Vezina and her parents, Amos and Josephine (Richard) Revere.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 7 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Friday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday.

Pallbearers will be Mark and Randal Leger, Cory Baudin, John Downs III, Jake Hebert and Thomas Venable.
