Church Point, La.
Funeral Services were held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Chapel in Church Point, La. for Jack Wayne Riley, 69. Mr. Riley, a native of Sacramento, CA and currently a resident of rural Acadia Parish near Church Point, died at 12:50 P.M. Saturday, March 23 at his residence. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc conducted the services.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Jean (Jordan) Riley of Church Point; four sons: Patrick Riley of Florida, Jerry Elliott and wife Fran of Many, La. and Paul Elliott and wife Jeanne and Randy Elliott and wife Tonya-all of Church Point; two daughters, Leah Johnson and husband Jay of Church Point and Laura Hugle of Alameda, CA; a brother, Don Palmer of Gulp, CA; a sister, Dorothy Brandt of Oregon; sixteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A veteran of four years service in the U.S. Navy during the Viet Nam Era, Mr. Elliott retired after a thirty year career in the California Department of Corrections.
