Church Point, LA:    A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Mr. J. Roy Latiolais, 80, who passed away at 10:55 PM Wednesday, February 15 at Acadia-St. Landry Guest Home in Church Point. Fr. Brian Harrington, Pastor of the church, will be the Celebrant of the Mass with burial following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery adjacent to the church.

J. Roy, a life-long resident of Church Point, was the son of the late Leo Latiolais and the former Amy Jeanise. An Army veteran, Mr. Latiolais was a loving father and grandfather. He cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren.

He is survived by the mother of his children, Theresa B. Latiolais of Church Point; his daughter, Tanya L. Lazarus and husband Clifford of Church Point; two sons, Jason R. Latiolais of Church Point and Lance M. Latiolais of Church Point; three grandchildren, Alexa and Faith Lazarus and Avery Latiolais and two brothers, Hearty Latiolais and Leo Latiolais, Jr. He was preceded in death by his parents and his three brothers, Raphael, Calbert and Aaron Latiolais.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 21, from 9:00 AM until the time of services at 1:00 PM. Mr. Latiolais will be honored with a flag presentation at 12:00 PM noon Tuesday followed by a recitation of the rosary at 12:15 PM.
