Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, October 16, 2010 at St. Edward Catholic Church; Richard, La. For Iris Richard Olivier, 92, the former Iris Mire. Mrs. Olivier, a long-time resident of Church Point, died at 7:50 P.M. Monday, October 11 at her daughter's residence near Church Point. Father Arthur Warren will conduct the services with interment following in the St. Edward Cemetery in Richard.

Survivors include two sons, Rodney Richard and wife Ann of Eunice, La. and Albert Richard and wife Patsy of Roosevelt, Utah; five daughters: Anna Lavergne of Church Point, Lois Pelas of Richard, Beatrice Frelish and husband Vincent and Patricia Boudreaux and husband Carroll- all of Belle Chasse, La. and Elizabeth Twiner and husband Joseph of Houma, La.; a brother, Oran Mire of Mamou, La.; twenty grandchildren, thirty-nine great-grandchildren and twenty-nine great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Richard; a daughter, Audrey Richard; two sons-in-law, Leo Lavergne and Paul Pelas; two brothers, Felix and Burleigh Mire and a sister, Viola Wright.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 A.M. until Midnight on Friday, October15 and continue from 9:00 A.M. Saturday until the time of the services.

A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Friday by Deacon Jim Cormier.
