Church Point, LA A Prayer Service will be held by Deacon Bryne Winn at 2:00pm on Monday, February 29, 2016 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, LA for Irene Thibodeaux Darbonne, 95, who passed away on Saturday morning, February 27 at Eunice Manor near Eunice, LA. Entombment will take place in the St. Bridget Cemetery Mausoleum adjacent to the St. Bridget Catholic Church in Lawtell, LA.

Irene, a long-time resident of Lawtell, was the daughter of the late Wade Thibodeaux and the former Celestine Miller.

She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Ann Darbonne of Lafayette, LA and fourteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and twenty-eight great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alexon "Tee" Darbonne and one daughter, Effie Darbonne Fontenot.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home on Monday, February 29 from 10:00 am until the time of service. A rosary will be recited in French at 12:30 pm Monday in the funeral home.
