Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 P.M. Sunday, November 20, 2011 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point for Huey Winn, 75. Mr. Winn, a native of Bristol, La. and long-time resident of Church Point, died at 4:56 P.M. Friday, November 18 at his residence. Deacon Bryne Winn will conduct the services.

Survivors include his wife, Germaine Elkins Winn of Church Point; two sons, David Allen Winn and wife Christy of Gonzales, La. and Gabriel Huey Winn II and wife Arcine of Branch, La.; a daughter, Shelley W. Nelams and husband Phillip of Church Point; a brother, Joseph Thomas "Pete" Winn of Bristol; his sisters: Cora Lee Smith of Crowley, La. and Mary Savoie and Barbara Harris of Bristol; sixteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren..

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Ola (Hebert) Winn; two sisters, Iva Mae Dunlap and Diane Percy and a daughter, Mona Marie Winn.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 3:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 19 and continue from 9:00 A.M. Sunday until the time of the services.

Mr. Winn, a carpenter, was a veteran of four years in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He will be honored with a Flag Presentation Ceremony at the time of services.
