Church Point, LA:         A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 14 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Horace Joseph "ToTo" LeJeune, 98. Mr. LeJeune, a long-time resident of rural Acadia Parish near Church Point, passed away Saturday evening, July 11  at Acadian Medical Center; Eunice, LA. Reverend Père Rozas, parochial vicar of the church, will be the celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the committal services in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery adjacent to the church.
He is survived by his son, Donald LeJeune and wife Claire of Church Point; a daughter-in-law, Dorothy LeJeune of Eunice; a grandson, Charles LeJeune and wife Crystal of Eunice; two granddaughters, Emily Ostos of Duluth, MN and Courtney Jennings and husband Kurt of Port Barre, LA and six great-grandchildren: Tyler, Bryan and Noah LeJeune; Madison, Gavin and John Jennings. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexcius and Melina Venable LeJeune; his wife of sixty-six years, Mary Alice Thibodeaux LeJeune; a son, Ronald Dale LeJeune and a sister, Gertie Mae LeJeune Thibodeaux. Horace, known as "ToTo", was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, a farmer, a carpenter and a devout Catholic who prayed the Rosary daily. Always ready for a conversation in "French"; he loved gardening, mowing his lawn and visiting with family and friends. He will be honored with a Flag Presentation Ceremony at the time of services. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home on Monday, July 13 from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and continue on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of services. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 6:00 P.M. Monday by Deacon Bryne Winn. Guidry Funeral Home, 219 N. Broadway St., Church Point, LA is in charge of final arrangements.
