Church Point, LA:         A Memorial Mass will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Hollie Reneé Barousse, 38. Ms. Barousse, a native and long-time resident of Church Point, passed away Wednesday morning, July 6 at Pelican Pointe Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Maurice, LA. Rev. Father Brian Harrington, pastor of the church, will be the celebrant of the Mass and entombment will be in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum on Hwy 35 north of Church Point.

She is survived by her father, Russell "Rusty" Barousse and spouse Leslie of Church Point; her sisters, Emily Kate Barousse of Youngsville, LA and Annie Claé Prejean and husband Dwayne of Church Point; her step-brother, David Hollier and wife Skye of Lafayette, LA.; her paternal grandmother, Kaye Barousse of Church Point; her maternal grandfather, Leo Guidry of Church Point; her nieces and nephews: Clayton and Caroline Miller, Elyza Prejean, Addison and Ethan Duhon and Aubrie and Jaxon Hollier and her extended family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Susan Guidry Barousse; her paternal grandfather, Charles Barousse and her maternal grandmother, Ruth Guidry.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 9:00 AM until the time of services on Saturday. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 12:00 Noon Saturday by Deacon Michael Vidrine. A loving daughter, sister and aunt, Ms. Barousse was an account manager with One Acadiana for a number of years. Truly loved, she will be missed by all who knew her. The family wishes to thank the staff and nurses of Pelican Pointe Health Care and Traditions Hospice for the care and compassion shown her. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital. Guidry Funeral Home, 219 N. Broadway St., Church Point, LA is in charge of final arrangements.
