Church Point, La.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, October 26, 2007 at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, Richard, La. for Hillman J. Turner, 94 who died at 5:00 P.M., Wednesday ,October 24, 2007 at Acadia-St. Landry Hospital in Church Point, La. He was a native of Richard, La. Brother Orville Rogers will conduct the services. Interment will be in Pilgrim Rest Baptist Cemetery.
Survivors include a son, Norman Turner of Richard, La.; a daughter, June Hoffpauir and husband Murrell of Church Point, La.; a brother, Archie Turner of Richard, La.; a sister, Juanita Turner of Richard, La.; 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Mr. Turner was preceded in death by his spouse, Lynell Young Turner.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 2:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Thursday October 25, 2007 and continue on Friday from 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
Mr. Turner was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Post 225 of Church Point.
