Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point for Hilda Latiolais, 67, the former Hilda Mary Venable. Mrs. Latiolais, a native and life-long resident of Church Point, died at 9:50 A.M. Tuesday, February 14 at Heart Hospital of Lafayette in Lafayette, La. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with entombment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum on Highway 35 north of Church Point.

Survivors include two daughters, Denise Meche and husband Keith of Church Point and Vicki Latiolais and spouse Leah Toothman of Lake Charles, La.; a brother, James Venable and wife Pat of Church Point; two sisters, Shirley Thibodeaux and husband Carroll of Church Point and Debra Sinitiere and husband Bill of Duson, La. and her grandchildren: Emily, Zach and Ian Meche and Logan Toothman.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kerney Latiolais; her parents, Ignace "Teen" and Leota (Cormier) Venable and a brother, Wilbert Venable.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 12:00 noon until 10:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 15 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Thursday until the time of the services.
A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday by Deacon Bryne Winn.
