Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point for Hilda Doucet, 93, the former Hilda Jeanise. Mrs. Doucet, a native of Mowata, La. and long-time resident of Church Point, died at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, April 13 at Eunice Extended Care Hospital in Eunice, La. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with entombment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum on Highway 35 north of Church Point.

Survivors include a sister, Clarisse Jeanise Moroux of Lafayette, La.; her special friends, Bobby Vasseur and wife Pam of Church Point and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eraste "Snakie" Doucet and her parents, Alus and Olivia (Sonnier) Jeanise.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Monday, April 15 and continue from 11:00 A.M. Tuesday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Monday by Monsignor DeBlanc.

Mrs. Doucet was a dedicated employee of Acadia-St. Landry Hospital in Church Point for more than twenty years.
