Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point for Mrs. Herbert (Betty Lou) Comeaux, 70, the former Betty Lou Arabie. Mrs. Comeaux, a native of Mowata, La. and long-time resident of Church Point, died at 6:55 P.M. Monday, November 21 at Opelousas General Medical Center in Opelousas, La. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with interment following in the Body of Christ Cemetery in Branch, La.

Survivors include her husband, Herbert Comeaux of Church Point; a son, Craig Comeaux and wife Jennifer of Church Point; two daughters, Evelyn Comeaux and husband Robert Scott of Church Point and Pamela Miller and husband Donald of Lewisburg, La.; four brothers: Leroy, Herman, Curtis and Terry Arabie-all of Eunice, La.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren..

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ducleve and Rena (Matte) Arabie; a daughter, Annette Briscoe; two grandchildren, Kristi and Petra Briscoe and a grandson, Thomas Briscoe.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed beginning at 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 25 and continuing uninterrupted until the time of the services on Saturday. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Friday by Monsignor DeBlanc.

Pallbearers will be Brad Lavergne, Joey Arabie, Craig Comeaux, Josh and Jeremy Daigle and Matt Briscoe.
