Church Point, LA:     In the interests of public safety and with regard for our families' feelings, a private graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 15, 2020 in the Monsignor Bienvenu Cemetery, Hwy 35 north of Church Point, LA for Helen McBride, 81, the former Helen Richard. Mrs. McBride, a native of Livonia, LA and long-time resident of Church Point, died Monday morning, April 13 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center, Lafayette, LA. Deacon Bryne Winn will conduct the service with interment immediately following.

Survivors include her sons, James Keith McBride of Russiaville, IN, Chris McBride and wife Judy of Church Point and Greg McBride and wife Kimberly of Mowata, LA; a daughter, Cathy McBride of Broussard, LA; her brothers, Lee Daniel Richard, Sr. of Gonzales, LA, Weston Richard and wife Judy of Toledo, OH and Larry Richard, Sr. of Walker, LA; her sisters: Carol Berteau and husband Billy Berteau, Sr. of Geismar, LA, Jeanette Delhommer and husband Anthony of Galvez, LA, Mary Ann Smith and husband Fielding of Antioch, Tenn and Dona Sue Ryland and husband Roy of Gonzales, LA; fourteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norris Anthony McBride, Jr.; her parents, Isadore and Natalie Savoy Richard; a son, Leonard Paul McBride and two brothers and a sister. Mrs. McBride was the manager of Sunny's Fried Chicken in Church Point for a number of years.
