Church Point, LA: It is with mixed emotions that the family of Helen Doucet Fall announces her passing on January 20, 2019 at her home. Sadness from the fact that the family has lost the matriarch of the family who brought so much love & joy to her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren as well as so many relatives and friends throughout her 91 years. There is also much joy as she is with the Lord in Heaven, reunited with Mr. LG and her mother and father as well as her brothers and sisters and countless other relatives and friends. Mrs. Fall was born on November 27, 1927 in Acadia Parish, LA to Mr. Jack Doucet and Mrs. Laura Richard Doucet. She met Mr. LG Fall and they were married for 65 years before his passing in 2009.
Survivors include her daughter, Phyllis Fall Beisecker and son-in-law, Mark G. Beisecker, of Diamondhead, MS, Darnell Fall and his wife, Rodica, of Timisoara, Romania and Mr. Gerard Fall and his wife Lenora Fall of Church Point. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren 12 great-grandchildren, 5 step-great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents, Dorcele "Jack" Doucet and Laura Richard Doucet.
Pallbearers will be Josh Richard, Jude Richard, Tyler Richard, Clark Thibodeaux, Brett Thibodeaux and Peter Fall. Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Touchet, Kevin Fall, James Albert Martin, Coby Baudoin, Iveri Zhvania, Victor Segers, Caleb Segers, Mark Faul, Phillip Faul and Brylan Richard. Visitation will be at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point on Monday, January 21, 2019 from 4:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. and continue from 8:00 A.M. Tuesday January 22 until the time of services. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will recite a rosary at 7:30 P.M. Monday and he will conduct the funeral services at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday with entombment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum on Hwy 35 north of Church Point. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Harmon and the staff of Louisiana Hospice and ask that donations to the American Cancer Society be considered in lieu of flowers.
