Obituary

Church Point, LA:  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at St. Edward Catholic Church in Richard, LA for Mr. Hayden Charles Castille, 17, who passed away at 9:20 PM Saturday, April 11. Fr. Michael Vidrine, Parochial Vicar of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, will be the Celebrant of the Mass; burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery.

Hayden, a resident of Richard and a current student at Church Point High School, was the son of Mr. David Castille and the late Crystal Dawn Castille. He was a good kid in every sense of the word—kind-hearted, easygoing, and never confrontational. He had a deep love for the outdoors and could often be found hunting, fishing or four-wheeler riding. He was looking forward to his future and had plans to become a welder, eager to build a life with his own two hands. Music was always a big part of who he was, providing both comfort and joy in his everyday life. In his free time, he enjoyed playing disc golf and spending time with friends, laughing and making memories that will now be cherished forever. Recently, he had taken up playing pool, something he quickly grew to love. He also enjoyed attending truck shows and had a passion for collecting Hot Wheels. Though his time here was short, the impact he made on those around him was lasting. He will be remembered for his kind heart, his quiet strength, and the way he lived life simply but fully. He is deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by his father, David Castille and his wife, Sandra Castille of Krotz Springs, LA; his maternal grandparents, James and Sheila Benoit of Richard, LA; his paternal grandparents, Roxye Young and Calvin Castille; his aunt, Shelbey Navarre and husband Edmond of Crowley, LA; his uncles, Scotty Benoit of Church Point and Cory Benoit of Richard; his god-child, Emerie Navarre; his nieces and nephews, Haizlyn and Myles Benoit; his brothers, Brandon, Finn and Tyler Castille and Joey and Terry Ardoin and sister Sami Smith. He was preceded in death by his mother, Crystal Benoit Castille.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 14, from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM and continue on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until 11:00 AM. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home Tuesday evening at 7:00 PM. Personal condolences may be sent to the Castille family at www.guidryfuneralhome.com. Guidry Funeral Home, 219 N. Broadway St., Church Point, LA is in charge of final arrangements.
